The purpose of the Higher Education Disability Services Directory is to provide information about services available to students with disabilities at public institutions of higher education - State University of New York (SUNY)and City University of New York (CUNY); independent colleges and universities; and degree-granting proprietary colleges throughout New York State. The information is collected and compiled annually from The Enrollment of College Students with Disabilities (2H2) form completed by each institution of higher education and submitted to SED's Office of Research and Information Systems. Although the information as reported is deemed reliable, it is subject to change at any time.

Information in the Higher Education Disability Services Directory includes:

• Contact Information for Services Available to Students with Disabilities
• Number of Students with Disabilities Enrolled in the Previous Fall
• Number of Staff Assigned to Work in the Disabilities Services Office
• Reasonable Accommodations (required by law) in the Form of Auxiliary Aids and Services Available to Students with Disabilities
• Other Services Currently Offered by the College that are Particularly Useful to Students with Disabilities
• Admissions Requirements for All Students
• Reasonable Accommodations that May be Available in the General Admissions Process
• Campus Orientation Designed Specifically for Students with Disabilities
