Requirement Description

"College supervised fieldwork" refers to teaching or related activities (e.g., observation) that are a component of the candidate's teacher education program. This work, which is carefully selected and planned by program faculty, occurs before student teaching or practica.

Bilingual Education Extension

If one is not in a Teacher Education Program, one year of paid full-time experience at the level or in the subject or field for which the extension is being requested may be substituted for the field experience when such experience carries the recommendation of the chief school officer.
