Teacher Access and Authorization (TAA)
First Time Users
You should have received a PIN from your district. Unique PINs are generated for teachers once a district
reports the appropriate teacher demographic data to the State Information Repository System.
PIN numbers will be available on the IRS Portal for the district to download and distribute.
If you have not received a PIN please contact your district administrator.
Once you create an account you will have access to both the Teacher Student Roster
Verification (TSRV) system and the ePMF application. (More information on TSRV
and ePMF is available below.)
The electronic Personnel Master File, ePMF, collects data submitted by teachers such as the
sections they teach, including class assignment, grade level taught, and years teaching.
When you login to TAA you will see a Your ePMF for ____
button for the district(s) you work in.
These button(s) allow you to access your ePMF form for the indicated district. If you work in
multiple districts you must complete an ePMF form for each district that employs you.
If you need more information or help filling out your ePMF form, you can visit our Help page to
browse through the frequently asked questions. All ePMF forms will be automatically saved when
clicking the "Save" button at the bottom of the form. The "Submit" button will finalize your
form for district review. Teachers will have through February 12th of the new school year to
complete and correct their ePMF information. Earlier deadlines may be established at the
local level. Your superintendent will review ePMF data before verifying data to NYSED.

Teacher Student Roster Verification Application
This system is used to verify district/BOCES/charter school reported roster data for teachers and principals outside of NYC.

If you identify inaccurate data within the report we ask that you work with your District
Data Coordinator to correct the errors in your Student Management System.
New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE)
teachers and principals will
use alternate data verification processes and reports.
NYCDOE teachers and principals will have access to an online tool, STARS Classroom, to
review and update class list information. If NYCDOE teachers have questions about this
process, they should contact their principals or data specialists in their school or
network. NYC teachers and principals may also contact

outside of NYC should use the same login and password that are used for the
NYSED Teacher Student Roster Verification system.
